Jack Beattie is a musician and producer who will join us in arthereistanbul from September.
He is interested in techniques generally marginalized in western music practice, particularly in relation to contemporary dance music. These include polyrhythms, complex time-signatures, and alternate tuning systems. 
During his stay here he is looking to develop collaborative relationships with Syrian and Turkish musicians based in Istanbul, in order to enrich his knowledge through practice. He will investigate cross-cultural concepts through the composition of an album.
