I'm a Finnish writer and photographer curious about the dynamics of borders and how fluid identities manifest across geographies, temporalities and disciplines. I am drawn to creating minimalist and fictional interpretations between the image and its caption, sometimes based on things rooted in history that have simply been forgotten.

 

 

My current residency at ArthereIstanbul coincides with the writing of a novel centred on Istanbul, with a story about the importance of songs and their power to preserve memories.
