My work is progressing towards incorporating local materials and stories into my installations, crafting pieces that align with the unique cultural and environmental contexts of their creation. This continuous exploration aims to enhance the interaction between the self and the surrounding world, while also questioning traditional ideas of home and identity.

At ArtHere Istanbul, I will explore the multifaceted concept of home through the lenses of cultural heritage, migration, and personal memory, incorporating traditional Turkish crafts and materials. I aim to create a visual and tactile exploration of belonging, examining how the spaces we inhabit and the narratives we carry shape our understanding of home.

This project will be particularly personal as it will involve the participation of my teenage daughter, who is navigating and shaping her own identity, as well as the unexpected encounters and connections I will make during my time in Istanbul.
